Collect. Find your version. Organize.

01

Catch a song while it’s there.

Type a song name, or paste a whole list. Open TuneTray to identify music playing around you while the app is in the foreground. Every find goes to the same inbox.

Saved names are searched on Apple Music, with the first result selected. Prefer a live version or another album? Search again from the song’s menu. No result? Your original note stays.

TWO MOMENTS. ONE INBOX.

Stay in the moment.

You don’t have to pick a playlist the moment you hear a good song. Leave yourself a clue, and get back to life. Your next favorites will be here when you’re ready.

Good songs can belong in more than one place.

A FEW THINGS TO KNOW

Before the next good song.

Which devices and music services does TuneTray support?

TuneTray is for iPhone running iOS 17 or later. Apple Music is the current target music service. Organizing into Spotify or other services isn’t supported.

Can I use it without an Apple Music subscription?

You can save song names before setting up permissions or a subscription. Apple Music search, listening and playlist organization depend on the relevant permissions, subscription and service availability. Your original saved text stays even when access is unavailable.

What if there’s no match, or it’s the wrong version?

If a search fails or returns nothing, TuneTray keeps your original song name. For a matched song, press and hold to search again and choose a different Apple Music track. Every selected record needs a matched track before you can organize it into playlists.

Is song recognition always listening in the background?

No. You start recognition with TuneTray in the foreground, and microphone permission is required. Recognition stops when the app leaves the foreground. Results go into your inbox; some may still need you to choose the corresponding Apple Music track.

Where can I try TuneTray today?

TuneTray hasn’t launched on the App Store yet. You can try test builds and share feedback through TestFlight. Available versions and beta places are shown on Apple’s page. To report a problem, open TuneTray in TestFlight and choose “Send Beta Feedback.”
